![]() ![]() I don't mean gains power in a mystical sense, here we have the inscription of fashion as female power. A female character on p 126 gains power by wearing high heels which make her "almost" as tall as the bad guy and looking "fangulous" (I think they mean fabulous with a horror theme). I am sick to death of teenage girls being portrayed as vapid and shallow and mainly interested in fashion and boys even when they are doing things. It reads like an extended episode from one of those lazily written tv shows that are really just a way to market toys. ![]() To summarise- this book is just stereotypes stitched together to sell dolls. ![]() I wrote a longer review but goodreads ate it. ![]()
